I've done a few more rough layouts since the last time I posted about Black Bull River. I'm more than halfway through plotting out the first issue which is taking forever because I have so many other things to work on right now. But as I continue to rough out these pages, I am going to now begin drawing the finished pages starting with page 1. Hopefully that will begin after Christmas.

In the meantime, here is the story so far. And I realize that anyone looking at this will barely be able to decipher the drawings and definitely will not be able to make out the chicken-scratched dialogue. It's all just quick thumbnails to determine how the action will flow and how the pages will layout before I begin the actual drawings.

I've recently been working on creating my first comic, a Civil War era zombie tale written by Brent Dragoo called Black Bull River. I have been uploading my progress to a BBR section of my site as I go along. Currently I'm at the "dummy stage", plotting out each page of the first issue with rough sketches and layouts.
The dummy pages and a page of character sketches are up there now and will be frequently updated as time allows.
