It's great to see a new W&G film again after all these years. This movie is packed with visual jokes and Gromit is the greatest mini-actor this side of Dakota Fanning. It's amazing what they can do with just his eyes.
The techincal brilliance behind this film is probably underappreciated in this day and age. With 3D computer rendering making today's kids movies look perfect to the microscopic detail, I wonder if kids would be put off by the rough edges of the clay and the slight jump in the stop-motion frame rate even if they can't identify the reasons why.
One thing I'll say is that I prefer W&G as a 30 minute short. The tight pacing of the originals seems a little lost in an effort to make a full length movie out of your typical W&G short story.
