Flight Plan: B-

Another thriller set almost entirely on an airplane. Whereas Red Eye was economic in it's storytelling until it got to it's standard chase scene ending, Flight Plan is as cumbersome as the double decker airliner it takes place on.

It's an enjoyable film but it's novel premise about a woman (Jodie Foster) whose daughter disappears on a flight and may never have been on the flight to begin with is like a Twilight Zone episode that gives you a great twist early on and then has to work overtime to try to explain it all. Once you get to the interesting development of the flight crew claiming the daughter was never on the flight to begin with the Twilight Zone moment has passed and the plot has nowhere to go but on a clumsy nosedive back to reality.
