Crash: B+

A film reminiscent of Grand Canyon and Magnolia but without the former's treacly heavy handedness and the latter's out of nowhere attempts to be different. It also has a better sense of signficance than either of those two were able to achieve.

Considering it is tackling the subject of race relations in LA from multiple vantage points, it is surprising that it doesn't veer more into sentimentality or disturbing violence. For the most part it manages a good balance.
