The Shield (Season 3): A+

Pretty much spent my whole week of surgery recovery watching this on DVD. After three seasons this show has not slipped in quality or intensity one bit. I haven't watched season 4 so I'm nervous about what an addition of a recognizeable star like Glenn Close to the cast will do.

A big focus of season 3 is the money train, a plot thread carried over from season 2. Vic and his strike team find that everything they do comes back to this money they stole and teh consequences begin to eat away at them.

This is one of the best shows on TV. As good as any of HBO's programs an unlike some of them it hasn't slipped in quality as it goes along.

After watching season 3, I'm hooked on the series. I'm going in reverse and watching season 2, which is every bit as intense as 3.The constant previous episode up dates, keep you ready for the next scene. I hope I have time to get season 1 under my belt before 4 is released.
