I actually saw this movie once before but didn't remember watching it. The real reason we rented it this time is because we found out that the whole movie was filmed on location in Charlotte. Either I'm not familiar enough with much of Charlotte's landmarks or else much of Charlotte's landmarks are pretty non-descript. Either way it was a little hard to identify some of the locales except for the ones that were identified by signage like Latta Arcade, the Arboretum and Fuel Pizza.
As for the film, it's actually pretty funny thanks to Jack Black. It probably shoots itself in the foot with it's own confused "inner beauty" concept but it works I guess.
