The Upside of Anger: B

An interesting family drama with Joan Allen and Kevin Costner back to playing the only role he does best - washed up ex-ballplayer. He's good at it.
The surprising thing is this is a pretty good film written and directed by that putz who did that HBO show "Mind of a Married Man". He has an unlikeable supporting role in this.
Towards the end, the movie drops a major bomb of a plot development but it doesn't leave itself enough time at the end to really deal with it. It's a shame because if properly done it could have made it a better movie.
