Ex Machina #6 Only in this comic could you have a story that seamlessly mixes alien subway tunnel dwellers, gay marriage, school vouchers and 'golden showers'. A new storyline begins this issue and Vaughan and Harris continue to blend good super hero action with interesting public policy. And it's also quite funny. I laughed out loud on that final page.

Human Target #16 For some reason I thought this evangelist/cult storyline had ended last month. It's been the weakest of this series. What is interesting about it is how Christopher Chance got so lost in impersonating the second coming messiah that he thought he was really him and was really capable of performing miracles. This was a bit underplayed in the story though and by the end once Chance was no longer in disguise he seemed pretty back to normal.
Oh and another terrible cover from this book. It doesn't look nearly finished. A shame since the interior art is as good as always.

Walking Dead #13 The beauty of an Image comic I guess is that they publish them if they got them. Issue 12 just came out last week and now here's another installment. No complaints here.
Only the characters in this book, who have been forced out of so many 'safe' places since this story began, could be so ecstatic about living in a prison that isn't exactly cleared of zombies. The scene with Rick and Tyreese venturing into the prison and remarking on how 'nice' it is with it's big windows and sunlight pouring it was very funny and probably exactly how people living in an RV for months and hiding from zombies would react.
What they find in that prison actually surprised me.
I hope that Kirkman doesn't kill anyone off for a while. He's got a good ensemble developed now but some of these characters still need some defining. I'm only starting to get a hang of telling the two blonde women apart.
I've really warmed up to Charlie Adlard's art now. I think I've finally stopped unfairly comparing him to the previous artist, Tony Moore. But I think Adlard has refined his work a lot in the last couple of issues.
