I've recently been working on creating my first comic, a Civil War era zombie tale written by Brent Dragoo called Black Bull River. I have been uploading my progress to a BBR section of my site as I go along. Currently I'm at the "dummy stage", plotting out each page of the first issue with rough sketches and layouts.
The dummy pages and a page of character sketches are up there now and will be frequently updated as time allows.

If anyone is truly interested in the "Black Bull River Creation Experience!" I will every so often post some of the script, and my general thought processes over at my blog.

Although, it should be said that BBR is more creepy cult horror that involves zombies, in case anyone was looking for a Dawn of the Dead thing set during the civil war. But yes, you can get your fix of Johnny Reb blasting their muskets away at the living dead.
