Though I had been initially inspired to do a series of little Olympics illustrations, I put most of my time into this one (and that's still not much time). I'm experimenting with brush textures in Photoshop, trying to get the right amount of roughness to make this feel like it was drawn with a brush but still blocking in just the right amount of solid simple colors - something that Photoshop of course is perfect for.
