East of Eden by John Steinbeck
East of Eden is one of those classics that I read when I was well out of school and thoroughly enjoyed it in a way I’m sure I wouldn’t if it had been assigned to me in high school or college (I’m actually not sure if this is considered high school material, probably not). If East of Eden is an allegory of the Garden of Eden than Cathy Ames is like a cross between Eve and the Snake. She is a cold, almost inhumanly evil character and the horrible things she does in this book is what sticks with you the most.

This is the first of a sexy female three-parter. It just happened to work out this way that the three provocative characters I’d be drawing end up in a sequence together.

Lots of great C drawings are already up on the AlphaBooks Tumblr this morning. Check them out.
