I founded Rich Barrett Design in 2004 after working ten years in both New York and Charlotte advertising and new media agencies. I was the very first digital art director in the New York office of JWT where I worked on extensive digital brand campaigns that won awards from the One Show and were written about in such publications as AdWeek and AdAge. In Charlotte, NC I was an early member of Wray Ward‘s growing interactive department and Creative Director in the Charlotte office of Mass Transmit.
I strive to provide agency-level creative work in the following areas:
- Graphic Design and Art Direction
- Interface and User Experience Design
- Branding and Logo Development
- Video and Animation Design
- Illustration
- And more…
Over the years I have worked for clients such as Merrill Lynch, American Airlines, DeBeers, Pfizer, Unilever, Lipton and more. I have also produced work for a variety of industry types such as:
- Healthcare
- Fashion
- Travel
- Real Estate Development
- Finance
- Consumer Products
- Education
In addition to my work as a designer, I am also an accomplished illustrator and cartoonist and am currently working on my first graphic novel Nathan Sorry.
After many years in New York City I relocated to Charlotte, NC in 2004 with my wife where we still reside, now with three kids and two dogs.
