Great movie, right?
We’re winding down the AlphaBeasts although once we’re done I’ll have to go back and do J-M which I had to skip. Then it will be on to the next alphabet project which I originally planned to sit out but can’t resist and am already thinking about what I’ll draw for it.
By the way, one of my AlphaBeasts were chosen by Comics Alliance the other day for their Best Art Ever (This Week) column. Very cool to have my work on one of the biggest comics sites out there.
There are certainly a lot of ways I could have gone with Vampire. I chose an homage to the tawdry 70s-era Hammer Film Production blood suckers.
Unlike with Animal Alphabet, the choices at the bottom of the alphabet for AlphaBeasts get surprisingly easy and kind of obvious depending on how you’re making your choices. Some people taking part in the AlphaBeast project dig up some pretty obscure stuff whereas I’m trying to stick somewhat close to the pop culture friendly choices. Can you guess what I’ll be going with for the rest of the entries?
That said, I really wasn’t looking forward to having to draw a Unicorn but I’m actually pretty happy with the result.
