I’ve never actually seen the movie “Them!” but it’s one of those old classics that you just feel like you know so well from general pop culture osmosis. This piece is probably a thematic cousin to two of my old Animal Alphabet pieces: A is for Ant vs. T is for Tarantula!
I was originally excited to draw a Sleestak for this week’s AlphaBeasts until I realized I had the opportunity to instead draw something from probably my favorite TV show ever. Also, a Sleestak would probably not look that much different from my C entry.
I consider this one a thematic cousin to the similarly pensive “A is for Abominable Snowman”.
I recently opened a store on Society6 where I’ll be selling prints, canvases, t-shirts other things of all my AlphaBeasts and eventually some Animal Alphabets. I’ve got a couple up there right now and plan to add version with and without text for each piece over the next couple of weeks. If you’ve ever wanted a T-shirt of any of these this will probably be the place to get one.
